Today is gorgeous! The air is crisp and cool, the sun is shining, slight breeze blowing, just beautiful. I'll be outside playing.
All is Well
Remy, the Queen of Everything, is my friend again. When I brought her home from the vet's yesterday, she ran under the bed and pretty much stayed there the rest of the day. When she did come out, she ran away from me. But she got over it. She jumped up on the bed and settled herself on my stomach and started purring.
Hobbies
I desperately need a hobby room. I've been priding myself on the neatness of my house these last few weeks, but I got into more jewelry making the other night, and all the neatness is gone. There are boxes of beads, display stands for jewelry, and tons of finished jewelry, jewelry that needs to be fixed, and ideas I've gotten. It would be quick to pack everything up, but I've got it spread around where I can (sort of ) find what I need. I have the room for a hobby room, I just need to fix it up, but that takes money, and, as you know, I don't have a lot of extra lately.
Finally!
Z93 radio station or, as they call themselves now, Dave FM, finally did the right thing and got rid of Steve Barnes. What an arrogant, self-centered jerk. I think the last straw came when he was talking on air about taking his 10-year-old Beagle to the pound. He says the dog did $10,000 of damage to his new house. A Beagle? Barnes also has 2 kids, and he says the dog just wasn't a good fit. So what's he going to do when his kids become teenagers or pre-teens? Something tells me he isn't going to be around the kids when that happens. There was alot of press about the dog, and I'm sure he got lots of emails about his decision. He's also sued 99X for screening his movie without permission. Methinks he's full of himself.
I'm waiting to see if Holly Furfur changes her radio role, she was playing a typical ditzy, immature blond. I hope she isn't that stupid. They've pulled all the DJ's this week, so it's all music and advertisements, promising their new 'fall' lineup next week.
Job Hunt
Nothing at all to talk about. It's very frustrating to have done something for 20 years, and no one even wants to talk to me about it. Have I wasted all my time?? So what else can I do?
I know I'm not the only one to have gone thru this, there have been billions of others in the same situation who have somehow survived. I am paralyzed with indecision. I just don't know what to do. I know, networking, but where? I can't find a networking group in the Decatur area, and I don't want to drive all over the area to attend a meeting. Maybe I'll change my mind if I get desperate enough.
More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
