I had to use my sunglasses on the way to work this morning, something I haven't done in quite awhile. Although I know this isn't going to last, it will be raining again tomorrow. I remember not too long ago when we didn't have any rain, so I won't complain. Too Much.
Weekend Hasher
I have been a hasher for several years, not so much anymore, but you can't seem to break away. There are so many interesting people and so many different things going on, you can always find someone to do something with. One problem with hashing on weekends is that it takes all day. If you do a Saturday hash, you have to be there in the around 2, circle will finally begin 3:30 or 4 (or later) and after the hash sometimes there's an On-After. Even if you choose not to do that, it's dinner time by the time you get home and (more often than not) you crash early as you're tired and buzzed. I've got too much to do at home to be doing that. But then sometimes you have to just get over it and enjoy life. It's tough.
News Blackout
I don't get the AJC anymore, but I'm thinking about getting just Sunday's edition. I can't seem to get into reading newspapers online, there is a comfort level in having the printed edition in front of you, especially on Sunday. Sit back with breakfast, coffee and the Sunday paper. I guess I can't read the news on line as I'm online all day at work and I don't want to do this at home. I'll get online at home to check emails and look stuff up, but I don't have a high speed connection and it's sometimes more frustrating to check stuff out at home.
Attempts to 'Modernize'
I've been thinking recently about ditching my land line and using my cellphone only. Except that I can't find my cellphone. It's probably in my car, but I'm thinking this may not be a good idea. I also attempted to get Bellsouth's Fast Access DSL, but I had some issues with signing up and I sent them an email (as I couldn't find a phone number) and never heard from them. Do I really want to send my money to someone I can't trust to answer an inquiry? I have been looking at iPods, but they are so small, I'd probably loose it. But I'm still looking. I've looked at digital cameras and wireless speakers and DVD home theaters and I'm overwhelmed. I do own a DVD player but need a part to hook it up to my digital cable TV which I know nothing about, can't remember to take the directions with me when I go to the store, so it's connected to my TV in the bedroom. When I rent a DVD I have to bring my 13'' TV into the living room. I'm thinking about the DVD home theater with all the surround-sound stuff, but none of them are DVD/VCR compatible. Although, when was the last time you saw a VCR at Blockbuster?
Update
Misty is doing fine, I have to take her and my other sick kitty, April to the vet tomorrow for check-ups. Pill Time at my house is very interesting. Ever tried to give a cat some meds from an eye dropper? I don't know which is easier, pills or eye droppers. I think it's cat-dependent, and Misty just doesn't want to cooperate. I give her the liquid medicine and I'm really not sure how much she gets down and how much she shakes out, then she stands around and coughs for awhile. Drama Queen.
More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
