Today is my company's month-end, so I have to be prepared to jump thru the hoops for the accounting department. Our month-end process is a series of copying all the data to a few different directories, once before the process, then after accounting is done. I guess if anything failed, I'd be glad we did all this copying, but right now, I just don't get it.
Conversations with my niece
My youngest niece called last night. What a pleasant suprise! I haven't really talked to her since her wedding last March. We are sort of close, honestly. I have 2 sisters and 2 neices and somehow this one turned out amazingly thoughtful, considerate and mature. She's had some difficult times, but she's straightend herself out and is doing just great. It was nice talking to her. (BTW, I don't have spell check I can use with this blog. Sorry)
What was I thinking?
I got home a bit early yesterday and decided to do something I haven't done in a while: I took a long walk. It wasn't too cold, and it wasn't too dark, so off I went. I used to do that everyday, and I do miss it. I slept very well last night.
Suprise, I have a life!
I keep thinking I need to improve my social life, but I was checking my calendar and I'm booked for the next 3 Fridays. This Friday is the Shakespeare Tavern, next Friday (and weekend) is the Atlanta Ski Club's annual Chili Cookoff in Benton, TN, and the week after that is dinner at Cafe Lily. I havent' done the Chili Cookoff in a few years, my 'team' won the 2nd and 3rd years, so I thought I'd have to quit to give others a chance. But we'll get them this year.
More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
