So here's what's happened since I last posted:
I've talked today to 2 recruiters in the DC area about jobs I've applied for. I also got notice from Emory that I'm under consideration (the hiring manager is taking a look at my resume) for 2 positions there. I still haven't heard from SunTrust, but one of my friends is interviewing for the Project Manager position for that job (I think), which means he could be hiring me. So all that is good. I now have to decide, if necessary, will it be cheaper to drive to DC or fly?
I've committed to visiting the Alzheimer's Association MWF for a few hours to do some Admin work. Some would say it's 'below' me, but they need the work done, it's mindless but someone has to do it, and I need to be wanted. And it's for a good cause. BTW, there is a Memory Walk coming up in the fall... More information later.
The Board of Directors thing fizzled, I didn't read the Fine Print. The cost was $750, which if working isn't bad, but not working it's a small fortune.
More Boring Kitty Stuff
We've got some new dynamics at work now. Katrina and Kitten are actually playing a little. Katrina treats Junior like his mother did, cleaning his face, locking her paws around him, but Junior is scared of Miss K. She is, after all, 3 times his size. But he stalks her tail and will jump in her direction. Remy, on the other hand, just hisses. She will stand in one place and hiss for 20 minutes at Kitten. It will probably end soon, but it's annoying.
Kitten or Junior or Harry is still adorable. He's climbing and playing, he jumps up my legs when I'm working on my computer, so I have scratches on my knees from where he's slipped off. He can now climb on to the bed, and jump off. Good thing, because in the last 2 days I've had to strip the sheets down to the bare matrees and wash them as he's peed on the bed. I noticed today he was dragging his little a** on the carpet, so there's some type of problem. No skid marks (who would notice them??), but it's quite a site to see him dragging his little a** across the floor.
Katrina and Kitten are now playing in my filing cabinet drawers. Katrina is plopped into the drawer, filling it up quite nicely, thank you. Kitten is hanging around, just playing, trying so hard to ignore Katrina, but it's not working. These two are so funny to watch.
Other Ideas
So Hillary will be conceeding to Obama on Saturday. I know people who are sick over the fact we have a Black Man running for President. Get over it. Hillary had every right to fight it out to the end, but would she be happy as VP?
I've heard Sonny Perdue mentioned as the GOP VP, and that scares me. McCain is a left-leaning-conservative (!) but Sonny would swing back to the far right.
Some Atlanta Things: 14th Street Bridge is closed for 1 1/2 years. Clayton County School Board is still a mess and I predict will lose their acreditation. Too many egos at work here. John Smoltz is having season-ending surgery today. I predict this will be his last year, he'll retire next season, he is, after all 42!
Gotta get prepared for a 'technical' interview. Wish me luck!
More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'

I've done the Memory Walk the past few years. It is never a bad thing to do some volunteer work, (admin or whatever). They need the help and you've got time. Plus, you never know who you might meet. And, most importantly, it gets you out of the house. (you crazy cat lady.... I can call you that again, as long as Harry is there)
