How Much Responsibility Do I Want?
We had a 'crisis' this afternoon. Evidently, when some data was converted to allow a new application, the scripts the DBA's ran were wrong. No one really noticed until today (this was done Friday night), but some date fields were wrong. The users, of course updated some records and discovered (!) the data was wrong. My boss called a meeting to figure out what happened on some 185 specific records. There were 3 of us in the meeting and a woman on conference to discuss this situation. The DBA's came in and we actually resolved the problem without any manual data entry, but the boss needed volunteers to logon tonite after all backups, updates, restores, and scripts were done. Do I really want to do that? If I start this now, it sets a precedent and it will continue. Anyway, I had an out, I went to the IIBA meeting tonite.

Acrylic Nails
This is an experiment for me with fake nails. I did this once before for about a month, but here we are going on another month. I've already had a fill and new polish, so I guess it's every two weeks. Bummer. Not sure I can find the time! Between resting due to all the walking I'm doing or doing laundry due to high humidity or chasing a kitty with a litter box problem, I don't know that I have time to get my nails done. But I'll keep trying. I'm getting used to having long, thick nails. And they look good.
