Good Things Are Happening!

Yeah! Just remember though, little things mean a lot to me, so this may not be as exciting as you think...

Another Old Friend
Actually, an old Customer. This woman came thru the checkout last night, and looked at me and said 'Where do I know you from?'. I had to look closely, but she was one of our customers at the coffee shop. She'd come in everyday around 6am to get 2 cups of coffee and go feed some feral cats. She's leave her CoffeeMate in the store as she preferred that and we didn't carry it. She was such a good customer, we let it slide. She said the new manager wouldn't have anything to do with that, told her to take it home and she never went back. She's still feeding the feral cats, but she says this new bunch of kittens are much more social, they want love an attention. And she loves giving it to them.

Now the Good News
First, I got my Red Guitar! Many months ago, before I started working at the store, I was a customer. I saw an amazing wine rack advertising Red Guitar, a Spanish wine. Having worked in the industry for a while, I know sometimes they give away instore promotions, so I asked the manager what was going to happen to it. He gave me a Standard Management Answer, pretty much telling me to get over it. I was new, so I'll give him that. I then asked the rep from the distributor and he said there was another one in East Atlanta and as soon as it was empty, I could have it. He told me yesterday that it was available, and I called a dear friend in East Atlanta to go pick it up. I will be going to her house tomorrow to pick it up! I'm so excited! It's about 4' high, and shaped like a guitar. It holds probably 2 cases of wine. Very Cool!

Second, about a month ago, I applied for a table at Atlantic Station Market on December 9 to peddle my jewelry. I got notice yesterday that I have the table! Another yeah! So stop by on Dec 9 (10-5) and check out my stuff!

Nothing about the new responsibilities at my current job, but that was only last week. Patience is a virtue.

Politically Correct
I am the annoying cashier at work. I like to talk and make jokes. The other day, a guy came thru the Express line with more than 10 items. He was very apologetic, and I joked that we'd have to shoot him. We laughed, but then I realized that might not be so funny, we live in Dekalb County and the police are shooting lots of bad guys. I still think it's funny, what else are you going to say to the Express Line Transgressors?

BTW
For the comments I got about an old blog: the $3.25 Margaritas are at the bar between Moe&Joe's and George's and it's on Sunday at 5pm (I think, I have no idea of the time!) Very good Margaritas, an excellent price.
The port tasting is at Toulouse near Peachtree Battle, but that's all I know now. Check their website.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
