Preparing for the Weekend.

This weekend is supposed to be in the 70's and sunny. I can't wait!

Saturday, Saturday, Saturday!!!!!!!
Come one, come all! Idlewood Elementary School in Tucker is having a Fall Festival on Saturday from 10am - 3pm. Come check out all the fun stuff to do, and come visit my table! I'm selling custom made jewelry! Necklaces, earrings, bracelets and even wine charms. I'll be taking orders for special occasions and Christmas, so please stop by!

Job Fair
Boy, was that a Waste of Time! Eight (count em, eight!) companies signed up, 7 showed up. One of those was located in Montgomery, Ala. The crowd was a good mix, mostly middle-aged (imagine!). I spoke with another gentleman there and he said he was thinking about going into teaching. I was disappointed by the number of companies and the number of applicants. It's scarey. Things have changed in the last few years.

Camera
Got the camera working, pictures taken, but I don't like how they turned out. I have to play with the lighting to get the pictures of the jewelry to look good. The kitty pictures look great!

Rehab
Notice lately how 'rehab' seems to be the answer to all social faux pas? Anytime a politician or well-known person does something human (not politically correct) they apologize and check into rehab. That seems to be the way of saying 'I was not responsible for whatever came out of my mouth, it was (pick addictive substance) and I will fight my addiction.' Did they really have a problem? Who knows, this is the way we solve things. Again, it's not really like taking responsibility for your actions. It's a crutch for the Rich and Famous. They feel they are above our laws, so they just go merrily on their way until they do something and get caught. Then they blame something else, take a few weeks of rest, pronounce themselves 'cured' and go back to the same old same old.
I understand Robin Williams just got out of rehab (how do you know what his problem is? Have you ever seen the guy? 4 billion miles an hour!) and I saw Letterman with Andy Dick and he just got out of rehab. He's been in 7 times. Don't think it's working. I remember when Marian Berry, the once and future Mayor of DC, checked into rehab to 'fight his cocaine addiction'. Where did he go? West Palm Beach, the source of the cocaine in the US. Good Move.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
