The Sun is OUT!

We really needed the rain we got yesterday, but I'm so glad the sun is out today! The temperature/humidity is getting to a liveable level: I actually had to put on long pants last night! I love this!

Getting Healthy
I got bored yesterday and decided to go to the gym. I usually do the treadmill and either upper body on the weights of legs. I did a whole body workout yesterday, after spending 3 days pulling and digging in the garden. I've promised myself today I wont' push it. I slept like a baby last night.

Garden Debris Removal
Dekalb County has a truck that comes around every Thursday to pick up any garden refuse, as long as it's in bags or piled by the curb. Yesterday after the gym workout, I moved 3 bags, 2 trash cans and 3 piles of branches up the hill from my backyard to the curb. I also hauled 2 trees, both over 10' tall and left them by the curb. The limbs were just piled up, so I wasn't sure they would take them, but I figured if I could haul all that stuff up there, then 2 healthy, young men could load that crap on the truck. I was right, they took it all! I'm so pleased.

No Gardening Today
It's too muddy to be messing around in the garden today, although this is the best time to pull up violets. The root system on violets is just amazing, and they come up so easily when the ground is wet. I'll maybe play in the front yard, where it isn't so muddy.
I also have one poison ivy spot on my forearm. One small little bump, it could even be a mosquito bite. You don't know how thrilled I am, after messing with all that poison ivy these last few days. Just goes to show, even if I don't see any Poison Ivy, I need to be more careful. But I am washing all my tennis shoes. Another reason to get those cheap, plastic clogs for gardening....

Job Hunt
I've got to fax my resume to Randstad for consideration as a temp. I'm also going to Emory for more information about their temp jobs. I took the test in April or May, but when I called the number they gave me, there was no answer so I left a message and haven't heard anything. So I'll go over and talk to them. I also have a phone number of a head hunter here in Atl I will call.
My Headhunter in Jacksonville called today with a job opportunity, so I sent her a copy of my resume and she's going to submit my resume. I really have to face the fact that I may have to relocate. Sounds like there's a yard sale in my future.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
