Whoopie! Actually, this week hasn't been too bad, just boring (you saw that coming, right?). But today's not over yet and the boss is coming in, so who knows? I'm not going to get stuck here this afternoon, I have things to do tonite. But you know how it goes, the Sh*t usually hits the fan around 3pm on Friday...
Shakespeare
I'm going to see 'MidSummer Night's Dream' tonite at the Tavern . I've seen this performed there before and it was hysterical! The Tavern pulls off comedy so well, and I'm excited about seeing the facade (How does one do one of those hooky things on the letter c?) . They are building a Tudor-style facade on Peachtree. How cool is that? That way the landmark won't be the 'purple building' (9 1/2 Weeks or some Adult Toy Store) Isn't that a hoot? An Adult Toy Store next to the Shakespeare Tavern, right down the street from the Homeless Soup Kitchen and across from the Hospital. Diversity, for sure!
Things aren't really what they seem
This is a headline in the Washington Post today : 'City's Race Tab Infuriates Mayor'. Thinking it was some race baiting issue in DC, the article is really about a foot race not picking up the security tab and the mayor is PO'ed. DC has race issues similar to Atlanta, but I believe we have more ridiculous issues than they do. Everyone here seems to play the race card for everything.
So I've been complaining about being bored, but I've got plenty of stuff planned this weekend. I'm not sure how I'm going to fit it all in! I have to take my car to the shop, possibly meet some friends for coffee after the 5K race in Candler Park, there's an Oyster fest downtown and a party on Saturday, exercising and socializing on Sunday and maybe more socilaizing Sunday afternoon. So I guess I'm not really as bored as I feel (?)
More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'

Ah, the Rut. It is a bad thing, and I know it well. Force yourself to do something different. Drive to work a different way. Clean out the corners. Call your old pal Katlanta. (Hee hee!) Sorry we have plans to go to the Tavern tomorrow night -- your presence is always an asset to the Bard's work.
